# Create an agent

# Create an agent

Every piece of content you will ever make comes from an agent. Here is your
next one, from zero.

## 1. Name the job

In your workspace, create a new agent. The name should say what it's *for*,
not what it is:

* ✅ "Launch teasers" · "Weekly digest" · "Product one-pagers"
* ❌ "Video agent" · "Content bot"

You are naming a colleague, and the name is the first thing the agent's own
setup hangs on.

## 2. Give it a brief of its own

Each agent carries a standing description of its job — audience, tone, what
it always does, what it never does. Two lines is enough:

> Short launch teasers for new product lines. Audience: existing customers
> who know us. Always end on the logo. Never more than 20 seconds.

This is the agent's identity; briefs you write later inherit it.

## 3. Pin the brand

Pick which brand the agent wears. It will design in that brand's colors,
fonts, logo, and voice automatically from now on — you never re-specify them.
(No brand yet? Do [Set up your brand](/learn/tutorials/set-up-your-brand) first.)

## 4. Check the flow

The agent ships with a flow — its defaults for medium, voice, captions,
pacing. For a first agent, the defaults are fine; come back to
[Flows](/learn/flows) when its output is systematically not what you want.

## 5. First contact

Open the agent's chat and give it a real brief — a piece you actually need.
Watch what it does before you correct anything: agents calibrate to *how you
correct them*, and a first session of small honest corrections teaches it
more than a perfect spec would.

## Keep it private until it's good

A new agent is internal. Publish it (with its surface and feed) only once its
output is something you'd show — see [Publishing](/learn/publishing).
